Our Team

The Detroit Creativity Project was founded in 2011 by a group of working artists who have strong ties to Detroit. All have a common mission - to give back to Detroit's young people and make sure they have the same opportunity to succeed. Their vision has been the launch pad for our partnerships today with schools and other nonprofit organizations working with young people in underserved communities of Detroit and neighboring cities. Meet our founders.

The teaching artists who lead our classes have formal improv training and are experienced teaching improv to youth and young adults. They have specialized training in cultural competency and effective strategies to engage our students. Learn more about our teaching artists.

Our donors give their time, talent, and money to support our programs. Join the community of change-makers dedicated to giving Detroit's young people tools to succeed.  Meet our supporters.
