Greg Maughan

Greg Maughan serves on the DCP Board of Directors. Mr. Maughan is the founder of Philly Improv Theater (PHIT), a nationally recognized comedy theatre producing & presenting improv, sketch, stand-up and variety comedy. Through the PHIT Training Center the theatre has also created the most comprehensive improv, sketch and stand-up comedy training program for children and adults in the Mid-Atlantic. Since 2006 Greg has grown the theater from a modest showcase of theatrical productions and workshops to a producing company with over 800 performances and 1,000 students annually.

Mr. Maughan is a passionate advocate for comedy and comedians in Philadelphia and beyond - always interested in assisting people with big goals and finding a way to make them a reality. Prior to becoming a full-time comedy entrepreneur, Greg served as a financial management consultant at Public Financial Management for governments and nonprofits with a special focus on school districts and labor negotiations. He was also a middle school teacher in Camden, New Jersey through the Teach for America program. Now a proud Philadelphian, Greg originally hails from the Detroit area.
